The incompatibility of the admixtures of vinpocetine with several antibiotics (penicillins, cephalosporins, lincomycins, aminoglycosides and fosfomycin) was studied. Vinpocetine 10㎎/2㎖ was mixed with antibiotics 1g/DW 10㎖, except gentamicin sulfate 80㎎/2㎖, lincomycin·HCI 600㎎/2㎖, clindamycin phosphate 300㎎/2㎖ and netilmicin sulfate 100㎎/2㎖, respectively.
Precipitates were occured in the admixtures of vinpocetine with most antibiotics except lincomycin·HCI gentamicin sulfate and netilmicin sulfate. In addition, precipitates also formed when vinpocetine 10mg was mixed with ampicillin·Na 1g, cephradine 1g fosfomycin·2Na 1g in dextros 5％ DW 500㎖ and normal saline 500㎖. pH of the admixtures, vinpocetine and antibiotics, were low as compared with pH of antibiotic solution alone.
